Hi I am Maddison or as you will get to know me “Coach Madz”.
What a time to be alive, and I am so glad you have wandered over here.
I am here to tell you a little bit about myself and what that really means for you as you embark on this wonderful adventure.
I began my own journey in 2015. I struggled with motivation and developed my own unhealthy habits which led me to spiral to a place in which I felt lost, exhausted and without a purpose. I began training in 2015. BIG commercial gyms, lots of people, the most intimidating environment I have ever put myself in.
My first wobbly stumble into a gym led to a bodybuilding competition prep… WHAT? Crazy huh? Oh yes, it was a little crazy. A LOT crazy actually.
It took discipline, sacrifice, tears, hardcore training, tunnel vision, top-end dedication and sometimes ridiculously long days but.. I DID IT! I competed in my first competition and it was INCREDIBLE.
From this moment, one crazy decision to compete I knew I had to find a way to reach out to people. I needed to tell them it was okay, to encourage them to take that giant leap they have been avoiding for so long and that falling on your face is NOT weakness and you are not alone. I have been there.
This is where my Personal Training adventure took off, I became qualified with a Diploma in Fitness and began coaching instantly. I left my old bar job and did all the things. Still crazy huh? You are right but all the highs and most importantly the lowest of lows led me to YOU.
Now, I am not here to tell you that you need to become a bodybuilder however, I am here to tell you to START somewhere. Start with something. Give yourself permission and make your move. YOU have fallen into our beautiful space at Mind Body Performance which is definitely an amazing start.
We hold the absolute highest standards for our girls. There is purpose, intent and incomparable pride that falls into the programs and space created for our girls.
Whatever you decide, YOU are worth this and do not ever for a second believe that you deserve any less.
If you are here today, it is for a reason, right? It could be a million different reasons and that is so perfectly ok. We are all human and do not let yourself find an excuse out. Remember why YOU are here.
Well if you have made it this far, I just want to leave you with a question for you to answer. To yourself.
Whom do you want to be, my friend?
The answer will lead in the very direction you need to be headed.
Good luck and I hope to see you in the gym.
